BUSINESS GRANT APPROVED and Introducing ENT!
COVID-19 BUSINESS GRANT APPROVED FINALLY
I finally got some help from the government that I don’t have to pay back: a grant for $8000. Hurray! I won’t go into the details here because I already did that in my business blog at wordwhisperer.net. You can find it here:

It has been a really long haul. So many people are out of work, and the government up to now hasn’t exactly had our backs.
(That figures, given the political climate and who has been leading the disastrous COVID response — Pence and Kushner, reportedly — since it began.)
And the end isn’t exactly in sight yet, either. Until most of us get the vaccine–which won’t be until mid-summer, I reckon–we’re still gonna be limping along, staying isolated (those of us who are following CDC recommendations, that is), and not back to pre-COVID flailing until this unprecedented flailing subsides.
I’ve heard from other friends who have fallen through the cracks this year. Despite applying for every business grant they believe they’re eligible for, they haven’t received the green light yet on any of them.
That stinks!
So, I guess I feel especially fortunate. I tried lots of different ways, too, to get the help that was supposedly there for me, but this is the only one that is a true blessing (something I don’t have to pay back).
In Other News…
I’m swapping out of my aquarium any ornament that doesn’t appear natural in origin, so the castle is gone and the barrel is disguised so it doesn’t look like it was made by humans. The only “humanoid” ornament in there now is a submerged ent. It’s very cool. I was going to get another cave-like ornament, but the ent spoke to me. I couldn’t leave it in the store.
And now that it’s home, I’m glad I didn’t.
I know I would have regretted not getting it.
It belongs in this aquarium.
It looks like a steward or guardian in there.
