Rod Serling’s Daughter Tells All–and It’s All Good
Just finished reading Anne Serling’s book about her dad, Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone). What an engaging read. I enjoyed it very much. Now I want to watch The Twilight Zone episodes again that he wrote (95 of them in all, out of some 150 total episodes). They’re available on Amazon Prime, so I’m in luck. I haven’t seen them in decades but truly enjoyed them when I did see them. Rod Serling was a great man. I just found out how great. It is so sad that he died at 50.
I’m also watching One Mississippi on Amazon Prime, which has me pretty much hooked after about five episodes. It’s a semi-autobiographical series about a comedienne/radio personality I’d never heard of or knew about. She has had so many trials and tribulations… but she’s a survivor. Comedian Louis CK is a co-producer of the series; that’s why I decided to check it out–and I’m glad I did! I’m enjoying it immensely.
And I’m re-watching GLEE, which I just can’t get enough of. I talked Lisa into watching a few episodes and she’s loving it, too. So we do that, a few episodes at a time, every few days. I love musicals, the performing arts (singing, dancing, and great acting), and the story line. GLEE offers all of that, in spades. There are some truly talented performers in that show. It’s no wonder it won so many awards…
