Sure Do Miss The Obama Days..

I’m missing the Obama family. They were measured, upbeat (despite the constant harassment and mean-spirited narratives and political actions that came their way from “opponents”) … and sane!

 

Remember when we had sane Presidents? It seems so long ago now…

 

Even when their opponents were acting insane, they acted sane!!!  They didn’t take the bait. They just kept putting one foot in front of the other, doing their best to accomplish their objectives against the odds stacked against them.

Goodness.

 

Yes.

 

Goodness. That’s the perfect description.

 

The Obama’s were GOOD. Even most of the people who disagreed with their policies considered them good–even great– people. The kind of people you’d love as friends; the kind of people you’d love living next door to you.

 

Positive, proactive, fun-loving, smiling, energetic, happening people.

 

I wouldn’t want any of the current administration living next to me.

 

I’d worry about my grand nieces (lovely young ladies) with sociopathic, pussy-grabbing, can’t-keep-from-kissing-’em Donald Trump living next door.

 

Jeff Sessions and Mike Pence are far-right racists, misogynists, and homophobic to boot. And those are just their most obvious deficiencies…

 

Steve Bannon is a living nightmare in the flesh.

 

But then, aren’t all of Trump’s minions? Betty DeVos? Don’t even get me started with the (very few) women on Trump’s team (Conway, Huckabee Sanders, DeVos). OMG!  They’re The Stepford Wives made flesh (every far-right Republican’s wet dream)!

 

I never used to wake up wondering if we were at war with North Korea or Iran yet.  I never really worried about a World War III with President Obama at the helm.

 

The list of major things that I worried about was relatively short in comparison to the cornucopia of things that concern me now!

 

Yes. I enjoyed waking up every morning while Barack Obama was President.

 

These days, all too often I want to pull the covers over my head and tell everyone who notices my hibernation, “Wake me when this is over, will you?”

 

I am just so embarrassed by this administration.
