King’s Books Event is 34 Days Away…

Slowly but surely, I’m getting the word out about the upcoming King’s Book’s gig, where I’ll be reading excerpts and signing copies of “DeForest Kelley Up Close and Personal: A Harvest of Memories from the Fan Who Knew Him Best”. Nineteen people have expressed interest; eight locals are presently confirmed as attendees (not counting Rod Janpol who lives too far away to attend but who is an Admin on the Event page), three of whom are friends of mine and two of whom I haven’t seen in ages. It’s going to be great to see them again…

Tomorrow afternoon I have an interview with Michael May about De’s career in westerns and my book.  It will be recorded then for distribution a few days from now. I’m looking forward to it.

In the next few days the October issue of Cowboys & Indians should hit the newsstands. My article about De’s western career is scheduled to be in it. I’m looking forward to seeing what they did with it, image-wise. They said they were going to find some images they could use for it and get the required approvals to use them… I sent  few images that I own of De and me, but I don’t know if they’ll want to use those…

Judson Forks delivered a used Dell Inspiron laptop to me yesterday so I can show Powerpoint presentations and my New Day Northwest interview whenever I’m out and about.  The laptop has Windows 10 on it so I’m learning it, and liking it okay. It takes a little getting used to, but it’s a lot faster than my dinosaur desktop, that’s for sure!

I got the autographed photo of Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy a few days ago, so I bought a nice frame for it and posted it next to my De as McCoy poster:
