In Yelm Today at the Arts and Crafts Show–Come See What’s Happening!

Today from 11 to 4 Lisa Twining Taylor and I will be at Yelm’s First Annual Arts and Crafts Show located at 206 West Yelm Avenue at ReMax Country. It promises to be a lot of fun. I’ll have an Author table there but will also make sure it’s known that I’m a copy, content and features writer, too, in case there are business owners in attendance who need a writer, or know someone else who does.

There might be some people at the event who want websites, too, so I’m going to make sure Lisa’s cards are in evidence on my book table, too..

I’m not going to let this golden opportunity pass me by this time. I plan to engage with the attendees in ways I’ve never tried before, not just watch them walk by, hoping to catch their eye.

I’m going to offer book excerpt readings on the half hour all day long from 11:30 to 3:30. I will read excerpts from all five of the books I have listed here at Yellow Balloon Publications… one (possibly two excerpts, if they’re short poems, for example) from a different book each time.

I’m going to be wearing  a brightly-color branded T-shirt with an image of the DeForest Kelley cover on the back. On the front is the sentiment “No Bones About It; I’m a DeForest Kelley Fan“.

Lisa will bring her laptop so I can show the New Day Northwest interview, the Sacramento Star Trek Convention appearance, and anything else we may decide (or need) to show. Perhaps we’ll just have the home page of this website on it part of the time so people can read more about the books they’re considering buying or read reviews and excerpts.

I’m also going to encourage hugs, selfies and sharing to social media by attendees who stop by so the word can get out  to locals who may not be aware of the fun event that is happening so close to where they are…

All in all, we plan to have a great time from eleven to four today and tomorrow. I hope you get a chance to come out to meet and visit with the many skilled artisans and craftspeople who will be there.

I know I’m going to be looking around to see how much of what’s offered there I can’t live without…  I love arts and crafts shows and the creative people who make them possible…

THANK YOU TO REMAX COUNTRY, THE TRIAD THEATER AND THE YELM BUSINESS COMMUNITY FOR MAKING THIS EVENT POSSIBLE…and THANK YOU TO THE ARTISTS AND CRAFTSPEOPLE WHO RESERVED SPOTS AS PART OF THE FUNDRAISING EFFORTS…
