Visit Christmas Revisited for a Real Treat

Lisa, Ben and I went to the Puyallup fairgrounds this afternoon to visit the Victorian Country Christmas event. The highlight of the event was visiting the Christmas Revisited booth where Heidi and her sister Mary were sequestered.
Heidi and Mary are the most creative, visionary women I know. They take used articles and craft articles and create the most amazing things with them. They call it up-cycling (as opposed to recycling) because they take used items and make them even better by re-purposing them and using them in creative ways.
So, for example, they’ll take a fancy glass plate and use it as the base for a diorama of sorts. Then they’ll take a a large, bell-shaped glass dome and put it over a winter scene…
Here, I took some pictures to show you what I mean…

And here’s a cute little barnyard scene…

Aren’t they just the prettiest, cutest, cleverest things you’ve ever seen? And they’re all one-of-a-kind treasures! They aren’t mass produced. They’re affordable: I’d almost say ridiculously affordable. But Heidi and Mary aren’t out to rob people; they’re out to bless them with unique treasures. You can find their Facebook page right here.
Both of the above pieces are at least 15″ tall. They look tiny in these images. They’re not!
2-dimension pictures really don’t do these timeless treasures justice. In 3-D (real life) they’re exquisite!
But 2-D images are all I have to show you unless you visit my home (or Lisa’s).
All I can say is go visit the Christmas Revisited booth if you’re in western Washington so you can see what they do in person with your own eyes. I guarantee you’ll be impressed! They always post their show itineraries on their Facebook page.
Every item is put together with immense patience and love. You can tell just by looking at them.
If there was a contest for the best Christmas-themed booth at this year’s Victorian Country Christmas event, Christmas Revisited would definitely get our votes, hands down.
