Lisa Twining Taylor of Dancing Goat Web Design will the be guest speaker at the September 22nd Yelm Writers’ Circle at the Timberland Library in Yelm.
I will come along as Lisa’s sidekick and videographer, as she was for me during my presentation last month.
Lisa will be sharing an overview of effective author websites and social media campaigns/tips, so it should be a helpful, terrific time for all who attend.
And since we ran out of time during my “Making a Living as a Writer in the 21st Century” presentation last month (had to pack up and get out of the library before it closed at 8), Sara Steinberg has invited me to bring along copies of my books so the people who attended (and others who attend on the 22nd) can get them if they want. That’s especially kind. Thank you, Sara!
The Yelm Writers’ Circle may just become one of our favorite “haunts” because being with fellow Creatives is always a special treat. I find Creatives curious, engaged, charming, and just about every other positive designation you can think of. There is never a dull moment when Creatives get together!
I hope our presentations offer additional ways to help authors and other writers stand out from the crowd. In a global marketplace with virtual outreach via the Internet and social media, there has never been a better time to be a Creative, but the competition is fierce, so learning about additional ways to stand out–whether it’s with a responsive new website, tactical social media, or stellar, stunning, electrifying copy and content–is time well spent.
I look forward to hearing back from the Yelm writers as to how they’ve used the information we’re giving to give you a leg up on the competition. We LOVE hearing about successes!!!
